The wife of Athair and queen of the gods, Eduna is frequently depicted as a kindly, matronly woman wearing comfortable, modest robes in earthen tones. She cradles a cornucopia against her breast with one arm, and grips a sickle in the other. Commonly associated with agrarian family life, she is very popular among farmers and healers, as well as women. It is said she instructed the first mortals in how to take advantage of the earth's bounty. While her daughter Luasa is often associated with animals, Eduna is considered the creator and protector of the forests and fields in which they dwell.
Eduna's temples are homey, cozy affairs that frequently double as orphanages, and often serve as food banks for the poor. The faithful are fond of charities and philanthropy, and their yearly Harvest Festivals are much loved by rich and poor alike, and usually appreciated as a time when all may set their differences aside, and enjoy the bounty of the land and the joy of friendship as equals. Her Monastic Order, the Daughters of Eduna, concern themselves mainly with charity, foster care, gardening, and protecting innocents in danger.
As might be expected, the faithful of the Mother of Harvest are not over fond of adherents of the darker faiths. While they seldom seek open confrontation with such opponents, they do not back down when their hand is forced, and constantly act behind the scenes to bolster the hearts and wills of the people against darkness, despair, and temptation.
