Krol's icons often depict him as a towering, solidly muscled humanoid figure wearing an assortment of animal hides and rough leathers as garments. He wears a horned greathelm, leans on a massive, wickedly barbed spear, and stands atop a mountain, looking over the world.
The Mighty espouses perseverance, competition, and person freedom, but also taking a stand against tyranny and evil, no matter the danger. In the end, he teaches only the strong remain free. According to him, the pursuit of strength not only discourages others from oppressing one, but enables a person to break free of their own physical limits.
Each temple's faithful are loosely organized around the leadership of a group of four experienced Elders. While it is common to see the Elders offer advice to younger members of the faith, and to see the less experienced seek counsel of their own accord at times, direct orders are far less common than leadership by example. The course of action to be taken by the faithful in relation to any particular issue is usually decided by majority vote of all belonging to a given temple, after a period of raucous, enthusiastic debate.
Krol's temples often take the form of great arenas where the faithful engage in various athletic and martial competitions. Gladiatorial fights to the death are seldom seen, as the goal of conflict is seen by the faithful as self improvement, not killing an enemy. Krol's faithful have a friendly rivalry with the followers of Luasa, and the two churches frequently co-operate towards mutual goals.
The god's most well known followers are the legendary barbarians of the Volsung people, and a popular saying among them is “Live free or die well!” They believe that only those who adhere to these ideals go to feast and fight with Mighty Krol in his halls after death.
